A state law for Arizona has been approved for “Safe and Sane” fireworks. The firework law regulates the use and sale of fireworks in Arizona. It was passed in April 2014 thanks in part to my company exploiting holes in our first law passed in 2010 in exchange for closing the loop holes we use mandated on the cities which previously under the law passed in 2010 cities could ban the use of fireworks but not the sale.

The fireworks law regulates when fireworks can be bought, sold and used in Phoenix, Arizona and surrounding areas. The new law does not apply to novelty items: snappers, snap caps, glow worms, snakes, party poppers, toy smoke devices and wedding sparklers, which have always bee considered permissible.

The sale of permissible consumer fireworks is allowed:
May 20 – July 6 and December 10 – January 3.

The use of permissible consumer fireworks is allowed:
June 24 – July 6 and December 24 – January 3

Year round sales are still allowed unless a city passes an ordinance restricting it to the state mandated sales dates.
